De nodige hervormingen van sociale regelingen zullen langer dan een kabinetsperiode duren, denkt Maarten Camps, bestuursvoorzitter van uitkeringsinstantie UWV. Zijn oproep aan een nieuw kabinet is om die grote aanpassingen vooral door te voeren, maar ook op korte termijn verbeteringen aan te brengen: "Wacht niet met wat je nu al kunt doen."
Opnieuw zijn meer mensen gestopt met ondernemen en meer bedrijven failliet gegaan ten opzichte van vorig jaar. Dat constateert de Kamer van Koophandel (KvK) op basis van cijfers over de eerste drie maanden van dit jaar. De KvK ziet het aantal stoppende ondernemers nu voor het derde kwartaal op rij stijgen, al was deze stijging in de voorgaande twee kwartalen sterker.
